Set up the API configuration in Protecht ERM
- Enable the Workflow API feature in System Configuration
- Create a new API configuration specifically for Workato integrations
Copy and configure the Workato recipe
- Access the Workato Community Library and locate the recipe for KRI action notifications
- Save the recipe to a project folder in Workato
Connect Microsoft Teams to Workato
- Sign in with a Microsoft Azure Global Administrator account
- Select the required API permissions to authorize the connection
Define a security secret key
- Set up a unique secret key in Workato for secure API calls
- Use Project Properties to store the key securely
Retrieve the Workato webhook URL
- Copy the webhook URL from Workato and modify it for Protecht ERM
- Remove the base URL segment, keeping only the unique identifier
Create workflow rules in Protecht ERM
- Define conditions for when the KRI notification should trigger (e.g. new KRI action assigned)
- Set the action type to API Request and enter the Workato webhook endpoint
- Add the secret key to the request header for authentication
- Customize the JSON payload to include relevant KRI details
Verify successful integration
- Manually generate a KRI entry in the Key Risk Indicator module for testing
- Confirm that a Teams notification is generated
- Click the Teams message link to navigate directly to the KRI entry in Protecht ERM
