Risk appetite: Getting the board on board.

On demand webinar

For any organisation, the development and articulation of the risk appetite is crucial in order to define and guide the degree of freedom that its employees have in taking and accepting risk.

The development of risk appetite should be a joint responsibility between executive management and the board (or governing body for non-commercial organisations). It is however ultimately owned by the board, who should give sign off and approval.

This requires the board to be ‘on board’ with the whole process, providing with input and challenge in all stages from its development to final approval. However, getting the board onboard can often be a challenge, requiring a degree of education to align thinking, as well as strong facilitation to bring board members to an agreed view.

Join David Tattam, Protecht’s Chief Research and Content Officer and Michael Howell, Protecht’s Research and Content Lead for this insightful webinar, which takes a practical approach to how you can best get your board on board. Driven by the presenters’ many years of experience of developing risk appetites for clients across all sectors and regions, this webinar considers the best approach, the steps in the process, and the facilitation skills required to make it happen.
